pretty girls wear pretty dresses

Now that Princess will be joining us soon, Da and I decided to shop for some baby items after work today. Our friends (NN and SF) will be giving us some of their infant daughter's old clothing. Nevertheless, we still wanted to buy some pretty dresses for Princess that she can call her own.

After work, Da and met at the Raffles Place MRT station and we took the MRT to Orchard MRT station. Upon arrival at the MRT station, we cut across Wisma Atria to our intended destination - Ngee Ann City. As we rarely go to Orchard Road area, we decided to check out the baby items at Takashimaya department store.

Before we arrived at Takashimaya, we happened to look at the atrium area of Ngee Ann City and were surprised to see that there was a baby fair taking place in the shopping mall. The baby fair would end by this weekend.

Excited, we proceeded towards the baby fair. Goodness me! There are so many baby items on sale!

This yellow dress was our first selection for Princess.

Next, we selected this lovely bodysuit that comes with a white t-shirt with pink trimmings. The t-shirt can be worn with other clothing.

When we saw this navy blue dress with white trimmings, we had to buy one for Princess. Unlike baby girls' dresses, which are usually in white or pink, this navy blue dress was not of the usual colour and we liked it immediately.

I wanted to buy one more dress for Princess and I nearly passed over this lovely green and white dress. I only noticed it just as we were about to approach the cashier to pay for our purchases.

Some of the dresses came with matching panties. We also bought a fleece blanket and some flannel washcloths for Princess. It seems that for babies, the softer the material, the better.

We did not really see many rompers and bodysuits that we liked. However, I could not resist buying the pink bodysuit that you see at the top of the pile at the right hand side of the photograph below.

We are waiting with bated breath for the arrival of Princess. Each day, we count our blessings that the Lord has favoured us. We cannot wait to hold our precious gift in our arms.
