Princess woke up around 4.30 am today. This was unusual because for the past few days, she slept all the way through from 8+ pm till about 6+ am, without asking for any feed in between. In the wee hours of this morning, she would not go back to sleep when she woke up. She did not cry and merely kept kicking her legs around and wanted to play. On a hunch, we made her a bottle of milk and lo and behold, she drank the bottle of milk and promptly went back to sleep.
Princess woke up again at around 8+ am. I placed her in the cot that my mother had bought for her from IKEA (many thanks to my brother, LB and his wife, MF for helping to set up the cot) and she amused herself while I prepared her bath. This cot is Princess' "day cot" as it is placed in the hall so that we can keep an eye on her during the day. When Princess is older, the platform of the cot can be lowered and the cot can be transformed into a playpen. Our friends, NN and SF will be lending us another cot which we intend to place in our bedroom - that cot will be her night cot.
While waiting for my mother's arrival, Princess watched the Okto channel on television.
Sometimes, Princess will need to use a pacifier before she sleeps. It is not always the case, though. It seems that one of our dining chairs has more or less been permanently placed next to the day cot so that the person sitting at the chair can chit-chat with Princess.
Princess certainly enjoyed the visit by my mother.
The important thing to note when feeding a baby is to support the neck of the baby.
If you have not noticed by now, Princess loves taking photographs! Even if she is distracted by something else, somehow at the last minute, she will turn her head towards the camera to have her photograph taken.
Princess was fascinated when my mother made clucking noises. We could see her trying to imitate my mother.
After my mother left in the evening, Princess watched "Licence to Grill" on the Asian Food Channel while waiting for me to prepare her night feed.
Princess loves to stretch and bend her legs. I wonder if she would be interested to take up ballet or perhaps gymnastics when she goes to school?
Okay - time for "night-night". She listened to the soothing music of the "Still Waters" CD as she fell into sweet sleep.
Good night, my darling. Jesus loves you and He will make sure that you have sweet dreams every night. Daddy and mommy love you very much.
