Ever since Princess entered our lives, our priorities have changed. Each day, we cannot wait to go home to see our little darling. We want to be there to see her first smile, take her first walk, speak her first word, etc.
Today, however, I had to work late for the first time since Princess joined us. I had an 8 pm meeting outside the office.
In the morning, the three handsome boys who live opposite Da and me in our apartment block came to our front door, wanting to have a peek at Princess. As Princess happened to be seated in her "watching television chair" (which has wheels), I wheeled the chair to the front door for the boys to say "hello" to Princess. Little Hng Hng said an excited, "Haha... baby!" when he spied Princess.
When my mother arrived at our home, she did her usual routine of chatting with Princess before my mother ate her breakfast.
As Princess had just had her morning feed, my mother offered to burp her.

Princess enjoyed the royal treatment while seated on my mother's lap as my mother burped her. I do not have the skill of my mother and I sometimes have to burp Princess for a while before she gives a satisfied burp. Once in a while, to entertain Princess, I will pretend to burp as well except that when I "burp", I will say "burp" in the same tone that a lamb bleats. Our little darling is greatly amused whenever I do this and she will throw back her head, look at me and grin.

After her morning bath, Princess was ready for her morning nap. As such, we placed her in the day cot that my mother bought for her.

Princess has many facial expressions and this is one of hers. Doesn't she look cute?

She also likes to stretch out her hands as though ready to give you a big hug.

See what I mean? She is certainly enjoying herself.

Another photograph with out-stretched hands. Even when she is ready to take a nap, she wants you to know that she welcomes you with open arms.
If you have not noticed by now, Princess loves taking photographs. Without fail, she will turn her head towards the camera just as you are able to take her photograph, even if she happens to be distracted by something else at that point in time.

By the time my meeting ended and I reached home, it was almost 11 pm. My little darling was already asleep. When I changed her into her nightclothes, she woke up briefly, gave me a sweet smile, tried to hug me and promptly went back to sleep. My heart simply melted at her gesture.
Princess received her second ang pow today. It was given to her by a friend of mine. I cannot wait to open a bank account for our little darling so that we can bank in the ang pow money.
Our little darling, Jesus loves you and so do daddy and mommy. Sweet dreams!
