Chinese New Year visits

Dear Diary,

We had two sets of visitors to our home today.

We also went to the home of the Three Musketeers (that is, Da Ge, Er Ge and Nining jie-jie).

The first set of visitors was the family of Cowboy. Uncle WC, Auntie SC and Por Por (Uncle WC's mommy) also came.

Cowboy is two months older than me.

Cowboy has more teeth than me. He started teething at five months of age. I only just started teething and I currently have one tooth only. Not fair!

I was a little frightened of Cowboy initially because he is bigger sized than me. This is to be expected because he is older than me.

Not to worry - my mommy was always nearby to carry me when I cried.

The adults let Cowboy and I play on the mattress that was on the floor.

After the visitors left, my mommy placed me on my high chair while she did some housework.

Tap-tap-tap... my wash basin doubled up as a drum. This is so fun!

Daddy's home! Daddy works on saturday mornings, so weekends are so precious for us.

I overheard daddy telling mommy that my paternal grandparents would be visiting us during lunchtime today.

When my paternal grandparents arrived, I showed Kong Kong J and Mama R the Giordano Junior red t-shirt that Uncle WC and Auntie SC gave me. I heard Auntie SC tell my mommy that they bought a similar (but not identical) t-shirt for Cowboy.

Kong Kong J showed me some new clothes that Mama R bought for me.

My high chair was a gift to me by Kong Kong J and Mama R.

Fruits time! My mommy steams and purees fruits for my snacking.

Kong Kong J let me drink some cooled boiled water from a small glass.

In the evening, my mommy changed me into a red Burberry dress that my Gu Jie gave me for Christmas last year. My parents called me "Audrey Hepburn" when they saw me in the Burberry dress. I think it was because the dress came with a belt and I looked so classic in the dress?

While waiting for daddy and mommy yo get ready, I showed Kong Kong J how I improvise and "play the drums" using the cardboard box located next to my playpen.

Here is a close up photograph of me in my beautiful "a la Audrey Hepburn" dress.

Finally! Daddy and mommy were ready to leave the house.

We bade goodbye to my paternal grandparents and drove off to the home of the Three Musketeers.

When we arrived at the home of the Three Musketeers, Nining jie-jie was very happy to see me.

Auntie SY scraped some apple for my snacking. Uncle ET told my daddy that the apple was a "Royal apple" (which was seasonal). It was sweet and delicious!

Love,
Princess
