No booties today!

Princess received a gift from Uncle OTS yesterday. It is a set of 2 compact discs containing soothing lullabies for bed-time. Thank you, Uncle OTS, says Princess!

Yesterday, FIL and MIL were at our home. FIL suggested that we let Princess go barefoot today. This way, her feet would not be enclosed in booties the whole day.

When my mother came over to our home this morning to babysit, I mentioned to her about FIL's suggestion. She agreed with FIL because our weather is rather hot and humid and she felt that there was no necessity for Princess to wear booties at home, unless she is sleeping in air-conditioning comfort.

Whenever my mother talks to Princess, she will pay attention. It is very heartwarming to see how well they get along.

My mother has taught Princess several things, such as "shake hand", "high five", "clap hands", "5-4-3-2-1" etc. She is now teaching Princess words such as "Mama", "mommy", "daddy", etc. Princess is very excited whenever my mother teaches her words and I look forward to the day when she calls me "mommy" for the first time. Right now, her speech essentially comprises gurgling and cooing sounds made by her. There are days when she seems to have a lot to tell us.

Princess loves listening to music or even people singing, which is why I make it a point to sing to her when I am giving her a bath. Very often, she will try to sing along. Unfortunately, I have forgotten most of the nursery rhymes and as such, I sing to her mainly songs of Praise & Worship. She likes in particular "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)", "Jesus loves me", "Perfect Offering", etc.

To the tune of the most famous lullaby, I have composed this song, which I often sing to Princess when I am trying to get her to sleep:-

"Go to sleep now
Go to sleep now
Go to sleep, my little baby

Jesus loves you
Jesus loves you
You are precious in His sight

Jesus loves Princess
You have favour and wisdom
Jesus loves Princess
You're a beautiful girl

Go to sleep now
Go to sleep now
Go to sleep, my little angel

Jesus loves you
Jesus loves you
You are blessed in His sight

Jesus loves Princess
You have favour and wisdom
Daddy loves Princess
You are mommy's little girl"

Look at how happy Princess is when my mother is talking to her!

Princess likes to watch Baby TV (Channel 37 on our cable television) every day. We have bought her several educational DVDs as well and my favourite is "Baby Bright".

Here is our little darling, looking prettier by the day.

As you can see, Princess loves taking photographs. She is ever ready to wave her hands at the camera.

Heehee... this is my cheeky mother making Princess model headwear again. Keep it up, mom! I love the photographs that you have been taking!

Ah... another of my mother's headwear creations, this time using a face towel.

Goodness me... Princess must have enjoyed not wearing booties today. She kept grinning the whole day!

I guess our little girl could not resist doing a bit of stretching. She likes to show off how flexible her limbs are.

Today, SIL wrote in a comment in her facebook that she cannot get enough of looking at Princess. Da and I certainly echo her sentiments.

My brother (LB) and his wife (MF) came to visit Princess today. "Do visit more often, Uncle LB and Auntie MF", says Princess!
